How to Use the Toolkit


  1. Start here to begin assessment of all 4 core stressors (Traumatic Stress, Resettlement Stress, Acculturation Stress, Isolation Stress) OR choose which core stressor you would like to assess

     Trauma
     Acculturation
     Resettlement
     Isolation

  2. The toolkit will provide you with information about each core stressor, including a list of sample questions. These sample questions are not intended as a substitute for clinical judgment. For more information about detailed trauma specific and mental health assessment measures see the NCTSN Measures Review Database and the National Center for PTSD.

  3. Based on your assessment of the child and/or family you will be guided to select a risk level. Your selection will generate a list of suggested interventions and resources.
